This past weekend, the White House announced that the Commander-in-Chief has ordered the dispatch of the state guard to Chicago, even as a court official blocked his team from dispatching personnel to Portland, Oregon.

Administration Confirms Illinois City Forces Move

A press secretary for the executive branch confirmed that Donald Trump had authorized using the state of Illinois guard troops, referencing what she called “continuing unrest and unrest” that municipal authorities have been unable to stop.

In Oregon, federal judge the presiding judge agreed with the state’s assertion that the administration dispatching guard forces to Portland would potentially worsen rather than calm protests.

“The court's decision supports what local citizens already know: the legal system worked, and facts won out,” the top official in Oregon stated following the court order was issued. “No uprising is occurring in the city. National security is not at risk. No flames, no explosives, no deaths due to public protests.”

State Leader Labels Action Unnecessary

Illinois' chief executive, the governor called the decision unjustified and “a staged event – lacking genuine intent to ensure citizen security.”

Judge Blocks Portland Guard Movement

The administration has encountered resistance to his plan of dispatching the military to municipalities with Democratic mayors he describes as lawless, following a federal court halted his team's plan to deploy the armed forces to Portland, Oregon.

The chief executive had announced on 27 September that he would send forces to the municipality, “permitting Full Force, if needed”, disregarding appeals from municipal leaders and the the state's federal lawmakers. A group of seventeen city leaders in the region had opposed the deployment.
