"They were among a great many British personnel deployed over the holidays. This mission, to remove terrorist threats who endanger our safety, shows how our armed forces are always on standby, continuously, keeping Britain secure at home and strong abroad." In December, the American forces executed what it called a "massive strike" on IS targets in Syria, subsequent to an assault killed two American soldiers and a local interpreter in Palmyra.
