The Red Bull team has confirmed a major reshuffle for the 2026 Formula 1 season, elevating French driver Isack Hadjar to its A-team and giving British teenager Arvid Lindblad his first F1 drive. The young driver, who is of Swedish and Indian heritage, will be the partner of New Zealander Liam Lawson at the junior outfit Racing Bulls. This reshuffling means Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda exiting the grid after five seasons. A Star in the Making Arvid Lindblad participated in first practice for the Silverstone and Mexican Grands Prix in the current season. The youngster was identified as a prodigy by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old. Talking about the team's junior academy, a key advisor previously said that Lindblad "looks really promising", commending his "natural quickness". The team prepared a programme for some time to ready Lindblad for his potential F1 debut in 2026, including appearances in F1 practice sessions at Silverstone and Mexico City. Lindblad stated it was a "dream come true", commenting: "2026 will be a massive test, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm prepared to collaborate with the team and step up. I am incredibly excited to get started." He has won a couple of victories in F2 so far this season and is P6 in the championship ahead of the season finale in Abu Dhabi. The Frenchman's Chance Isack Hadjar celebrates his first podium in F1, achieved at the Zandvoort race in August. The Frenchman's debut season started in difficult fashion when he spun out during the warm-up lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. But, from that point, he has been one of the stand-out rookies this season. He included an excellent top-three result at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he sits in tenth place in the drivers' standings. The team principal commented: "Hadjar has shown great maturity and proved to be a fast adapter. Crucially, he has the innate pace that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can thrive alongside Max." The promoted driver called it "a fantastic step" and said he felt "ready". Lawson Retains His Seat To partner Lindblad at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have chosen Lawson over Tsunoda. Lawson started 2025 with the senior squad but was moved back after just two races. He has settled back in at the junior outfit with notable results, convincing Red Bull he deserves more time. Tsunoda, in contrast, loses his place after a difficult season. His highest finish is a sixth place, and he has accumulated a small fraction of the team's constructors' championship. The driver market moves confirm that there remains no place on the Red Bull programme for Irish driver Alex Dunne, who will remain in F2 for 2026.
